IT IS ONLY A SAMPLE PROFILE

Area of Interest : BIOSPELEOLOGY, SPELEOCLIMATOLOGY

My contributions to the subject (related to cavestudy only): Understanding of the organization of cavernicoles, in space and time, is one of the fascinating areas in biology that falls in the domain of Biospeleology. Study of physiological, metabolic and behavioural adjustments in tropical cave organisms including the loach (fish), Nemacheilus evezardi that inhabits the Kotumsar Cave, located on the Kanger Valley National Park, Bastar, Chhattisgarh, India, is interesting. Work on Caves of Meghalaya: I have initiated studies to enumerate biodiversity in number of caves located in the state of Meghalaya. I have been conducting exploration of the caves of this region and campaigning for the conservation of cave habitats of Meghalaya.

Studies on Indian summer monsoon (ISM) rainfall variations for the core monsoon region of India has been initiated in different parts of India. Hope to get some interesting and wonderful results in coming future.

Current Activity

A need of full fledged organization devoted to cave study and protection works was realized since last so many year. I've taken a little initiative to form the same and the aim is to develop a full-fledged Research Centre on cave Study & Protection in future.
